Do you enjoy outdoor life, forests and mountains, or does rural life attract you?

Fjällhälsan is a private health center run without profit motives by an economic association owned by the local population. The health center is located in Hede, about 20 km from Vemdalen and about 60 km from Funäsdalen. Here we have gathered many competencies under one roof, such as child healthcare, maternal healthcare, physiotherapy, psychosocial unit, etc. We also have our own lab and X-ray facilities. Smaller branches are located in Vemdalen village and Lillhärdal, and during the winter season, we have on-call doctors in Björnrike, Tänndalen, and Ramundberget.

The nearest hospital is 150 km away in Östersund, which is why we handle many acute conditions, and orthopedic injuries make up a large part of our work during the winter. We are a strong and competent team of about 35 employees with many years of experience in primary care. Together, we make a difference for our primary catchment area of about 3,300 people, which increases tenfold during the winter season!

Who are you?

You are a specialist in general medicine with an interest in people in rural areas, attracted by the vastness of the mountains, skiing, hunting, fishing, hiking, or snowmobiling.

You enjoy a varied job where outpatient visits are mixed with acute care and have experience in fracture management, but this is not a requirement.

You can largely influence your own schedule. You have your own patient list and room for further education.

You will be part of a motivated and competent team with currently four employed doctors and additional doctors during the winter season. We are currently primarily looking for a permanent position, but other arrangements may also be of interest.

A valid driver's license (B) is required for the position.
